Die Reben wachsen bei Gratallops auf geschichteter Llicorella, einem schieferhaltigen Boden, der mineralische Noten und Struktur begünstigt. Der Wein reift zwölf Monate in französischen Eichenfässern; eine Spontangärung ist nicht belegt. Im Duft zeigen sich reife schwarze Früchte, Pflaume, Gewürze, Kakao, balsamische und mineralische Noten. Am Gaumen wirkt er rund, körperreich und strukturiert, mit reifen, weichen Tanninen, ausgewogener Säure und langem, würzig-mineralischem Finale.
